Newly Found Down Time

Between the birth of my son and traveling, I haven't had much down time and I'm sad to say that I have been grounded for a bit to help myself recover. To be completely honest, this is the first time that my son is napping and I'm not napping at the same time or I'm not running around like a chicken with my head cut off. I'm currently planning for a trip to Japan with my son to visit my Parents. I grew up in Tokyo so this will be more of a trip to go home than to visit a new place but for me, traveling at all is always exciting. This will for sure be my longest trip with my son and I'm actually nervous. My husband won't be going with us so I'm learning that I will need to simplify and change my whole process.
When I go to Japan, I had all my stuff packed in my carry-on and then would send 2 empty duffle bags under the plane to bring stuff back for me. This time, I'm going to need to pack my stuff and send it under the plane as My hands will be a little bit full with stuff for my son.
Just like my last post, I have my go to items that I pack but for such a long flight, and for how long I'm staying, I needed to search for some better items to take with me to make this whole process easier.
Before I take on such a large trip, I go though travel itineraries that others have done as well as pinterest some very photogenic locations. For trips home to Japan, I make sure I fit as much as I can in however long I'm there. My husband says I do that with every trip and follows with he will never go to a theme park with me again as the phrase, "Needing a Vacation after a vacation," rings all too true with how I plan trips.
So As I prepare for this large trip, I'll be posting updates and anything I have for this Japan Trip with my son as this will be such a huge trip for me unline the other ones I get to see, and I plan on doing as much as I can while I'm there.
